Show Your Work with Bleeding Heart Art Space

We offer a range of opportunities for artists of all ages, styles, and media who desire to share their work with others.

You may be interested in participating in our yearly OPEN WALLS group show, or sharing at our next ArtLuck event. Or you might have a creative idea for a pop-up exhibit, event, or project that would fit well in a community Space dedicated to exploring art, faith, and justice. Or you may have a proposal for a solo or group exhibition that you would like to submit to our jury for consideration.

Wondering if your work is a good fit for Bleeding Heart? Take a moment to read our manifesto.

We would love to hear your ideas, questions, and inquiries. You can reach us at hello@bleedingheartart.space.

Solo & Group Exhibitions

You can download a PDF of our gallery layout here. The main gallery is a cozy space, at just over 540 square feet, and ideal for small, tightly focused shows or installations.

Beside the main gallery is a 148-square-foot Installation Room, a former office space that is great for video works, interactive projects, and even smaller exhibits.

We believe in paying artist fees and do so to the best of our ability and financial resources. While aiming at respecting the CARFAC-RAAV Fees Schedules, we are not presently in a financial position allowing us to pay artists at these suggested levels. For more information about our current fees, please contact us.

Common Flame Project, 2022

Bleeding Heart Art Space is seeking interested artists to apply for a collaborative art show!

This online project will take place January - June 2022, through our social media platforms. During the month of January, a featured artist will create a work of art inspired by the theme "Common Flame", and will use our social media platforms to share their ideas, process, progress, and final work (3 posts minimum). In February, a new featured artist will create their own piece inspired by the theme and the January artist's final work, and so forth.

We are seeking artists of all experiences and backgrounds to participate in this project. Artists can work in any medium: visual art, poetry, performance art, music, etc. Note this is a paid engagement.

We are excited to see how you and your work resonate with this year's theme of "Common Flame" and how you are creatively responding to the light and warmth you see in others.

Read the theme here.

Firelight, 2020-2021

Given the impact of COVID-19, our gallery space will be largely virtual this year with us promoting local art and interacting with the public online. If you have a body of work that would lend well to this, let us know! Note this is a paid engagement.

We are looking for artists who can partner with us to fulfill our vision to:

• Interact with the community through our social media channels

• Have artists promote their art with weekly posts – mediums can range from blog posts to video to photo etc…

• Topics would include commentary on the artist’s process, the creation of a current body of work, how the artist finds inspiration during a pandemic etc…

• Be available for/assist in planning and imagining online events during the period the artist is featured
